What a week for Liverpool fans... First up was a 4-0 demolition of Real Madrid... followed up by this result .... Manure 1 - 4 Liverpool. Although United by my reckon will win the BPL title, it still feels good to at least rub our noses on them.

The Joy and Agony Of Being A Liverpool Fan...

For 82 minutes into the game, I stared at the TV blankly as a Liverpool fan not believing the result displayed on the screen as Liverpool was 1-2 down to Portsmouth. Somehow there was a belief (but I've got to admit I did not had the confidence as before) that Liverpool will not give out without a fight and get a result out of this game with so little time left.

Fortunately Liverpool is blessed with The Miracle.... No not Steven Gerrard (not for today anyway) but none other than The Spanish Matador FERNANDO TORRES.... Enough said. With a minute of the 3 extra minutes allocated, Torres heads in an injury time winner to seal (3-2 score in favour of Liverpool) yet another amazing comeback for the team.

Thank you Fernando Torres for making my day.

Tiger FC 2009

Tiger FC is back and this time around our League is making good progress. 4th overall and 3 top 20 teams for the month of September (so far).

Tiger FC Week 23, 24 and 25

Here's a summary of the performance from the past 3 weeks.

Week 25
What a disastrous performance by all 4 Tigers for this week! The Eventual Champion of the week UDM only needed 31 points to secure 1st placing thus earning him the nickname of 'CHEAPSKATE Champion'.

The Bottom 3 (Ronaldo, RedArmy and LMF) only collected 51 points in TOTAL. The combined points in total of all 3 couldn't even get 3rd Placing for the week before.

In fact LMF wouldn't have lost if he had not been sleeping and missed out on transfer deadline. He has lost 2 weeks in a row now .... Will he score a hat trick next week? I'm keeping my fingers crossed for that to happen.

Week 24
Bottom of the table Cocky Ronaldo finally gets a rare win under his belt as a string of surprising results hands him an undisputed win. It is also the first time both UDM and LMF finished outside of the top 2.

Week 23

EDM and LMF both finished joint winners as once again Red Army falters, this time through the fault of his own as he overslept missing the transfer deadline. Cocky Ronaldo can count on his lucky stars yet again.

Tiger FC Week 22

Finally, UDM has made a comeback after being quiet for the best part of December 2007. Keen to save up his transfer RedArmy sacrificed positioning and finished bottom. LMF and Ronaldo were on the safe zone as both teams had scorers from nearly every position of the field barring the Keeper. In reality, I had planned to transfer Milner for Nolan but was unable to do so as I was occupied and seeking UDM's help to initiate transfer was my biggest blunder for the week. Anyway 73 points is the highest loser of all time in a single week.

Tiger FC week 20 and 21

A busy program at the end of the year changed the fortunes of LMF as he could not follow up on his hat trick of wins. RedArmy managed to hold on to his overnight lead as he once again topped the table following impressive performances from his back 4 of Defenders with 3 goals in total. UDM and Ronaldo meanwhile regained some consistency after both teams experienced a total shutout from 1st place for the entire Month of December 2007.

Tiger FC December 2007 - Best Team of The Month

MILF Members - RedArmy and LMF finished among the best teams of the month. LMF who had been occupying the 2nd spot going into the final round of the month crumbled when Man. Utd. lost 1-2 to West Ham.

Tiger FC Week 18 and 19

As we enter the final week of the month, the chase gets intense as LMF is in with a shout to claim the Top Team of The Month of December 2007. An amazing 124 points was collected for 2 rounds of games played as LMF scored a hat trick of wins (the first of any team to do so, whereas Red Army had the unwanted record of hat trick of losses). Ronaldo and RedArmy meanwhile stayed in the safe zone as once again the mighty UDM collapsed.

Tiger FC Week 17

There is a DEAD TIE at the bottom of the table. RedArmy, who was keen on saving up all his transfers till the last weekend of the month was confident on not finishing in the last place this weekend but due to the nature of the results (Arsenal and Man Utd 1-0 wins, his position was severely threatened as both LMF and UDM overtook RedArmy with ease at the final stretch). Ronaldo who had been at the bottom the last few weeks finally found some reprieve as there was someone to split the bill.

TigerFC Team of The Month - December 2007

Both RedArmy and LMF are currently occupying the Top 3 Spots in the December 2007 TigerFC Team Of The Month Competition. The ultimate objective of staying at the top of the Table for the Month come end of December 2007 is to actually win the Tiger FC Home Game, Game Console or Money Can't Buy Football Merchandise and also a Special Prize of 3 Cartons of Tiger Beer (I'm not too sure which will be given out but any of it will do).



With 2 weeks to go, either team finishing at the top of the table will benefit the rest of the 'active' League Members as both have generously agreed to share out the prize.

Tiger FC Week 13

Week 13 was yet another photo finish as the final game of the week was the decider between 1st to 4th placing. After the dust has settled the standings are as follow:

LMF would not have lost if he did not place too much on 21 million pounds striker Wayne Rooney. With nearly 20% of his team budget allocated to Rooney coupled by a freak injury to him on the training grounds, it's not hard to say that LMF was giving a handicap to the rest of us. Even with this setback, LMF still posted some sort of record.., the 'Highest Losing Score' so far. 51 points on average would've given LMF the 1st or 2nd place any another week. Too bad for LMF though, the others like Red Army and Ronaldo has learnt from their past mistakes and are scoring points consistently the past few games.

Tiger FC Week 11

Competition in Tiger FC has heated up yet again. To make things more exciting, 4 members (including myself) agreed upon that whoever gets the least points for each week will have to treat the other 3 a round of Tomyam each, whereas the one who finishes 3rd will have to update the points tally for the following week accordingly.

I managed to get 3rd place last week but I didn't mind at all doing dirty work as I finally break my hat-trick of losses. As usual LMF and UDM have a close fight whereas at the bottom of the table Red Army and Civic battle it out to avoid Relegation. After a pulsating 10 match battle, below are the points for the week .....

As you can see LMF is the champion for the week with a total 41 points. That's 2 weeks in a row that LMF has topped the points tally. Whereas Civic who has been performing early of the month finally lose steam with only 3 points from 14 players. Since he has amassed less than 10 points, Civic should've doubled up his losses this week. But Tiger FC made a screw up and did not update the points accordingly this weekend and thus there is a dispute on the total allocation of points. Red Army in fact 'lose' 12 additional points as a result of the screw up.

November is here and each team will have 8 transfers again beginning this week.
Red Army will once again sweat it out not to finish bottom of the table and will be EXPECTING THE WORST BUT HOPE FOR THE BEST for November.
